A chocolatey twist on the classic Halloween treat! These choccy apples are an indulgent sister of the traditional toffee apple, simply choose your favourite Lily O’Brien’s Share Bag (our favourites are Mega Milk and Crispy Butterscotch) and discover a new way to treat your little ones this season.
Ingredients
- 6 Granny Smith, Fuji or Gala apples
- 2 of your favourite Lily O’Brien’s Chocolate Share Bags
- Toppings (hazelnuts, sprinkles, dried chopped fruit are optional)
Method
- Wash your apples and dry them thoroughly.
- Insert a lollipop stick firmly though the top of each apple.
- Cut a piece of greaseproof paper and lay flat on your work surface and set to one side.
- Empty your chocolate share bags into small bowls – cereal-sized bowls work great. Microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring in between, until each bowl of chocolate is melted.
- Take each apple and dip into a bowl of chocolate, swirling around until they’re completely coated, then place on the greaseproof paper.
- If you would like to add toppings you can add these now.
- Leave your apples for 20-30 minutes to set and then eat within a few days.
